Opportunities are available throughout the year to support Colfax in a variety of ways. We encourage all Colfax parents to donate to Annual Giving, shop our affiliate links and participate in our events so we can continue to fund so many important programs that make our school one of LAUSD's best.

PACE is the sole provider of classroom aides, art, technology, science, music and much more at Colfax. Annual Giving is our largest fundraiser each year and the primary opportunity to ensure the continuation of vital programs that make Colfax the special, award-winning school community it is today and will continue to be.

World Fair
PARTY BOOK
Our Colfax-only theme parties are a fun way to build community while raising money for our school. Hosts donate everything that goes into the party and craft a theme that's fun for adults, kids or both. Tickets can be purchased on our website and all the money raised goes straight back to the classrooms.
If you have a skill or passion or just love to throw a great party, perhaps you'll consider hosting one.
SPIRIT WEAR
Our Spirit Wear team releases a brand new collection of awesome Colfax gear each fall. Choose from limited edition T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and more. Purchase online or out on the front lawn before or after school on select days. Profits from Spirit Wear sales help fund our programs AND show our school spirit, creating a sense of community like no other!

TURKEY TROT / FALL FITNESS FAIR
Gobble Gobble! The Turkey Trot & Fall Fitness Challenge is our Fall fundraiser and helps promote healthy habits, physical well-being, and fun, while teaching the importance of giving back by raising money for Colfax based on participation! Students create their own fundraising pages set up by their parents. Then, they visit 8 exercise stations around the Colfax neighborhood or run each morning in Run Club. The event culminates with our annual GobbleFest where we celebrate with games, pizza, treats and a raffle. You can even get your picture with the world-famous Colfax Turkey! We invite your families, neighbors & friends to support our students' participation in this fun event!
READ-A-THON
This school-wide event is designed to foster and develop our students’ reading proficiency and love of books. Students are encouraged to read as much as they possibly can to win prizes for the most minutes read. The 2019 Read-A-Thon raised enough money to purchase beautiful new frames for our Best Book Forward wall outside the office along with helping us finalize our library renovation with a new Family Resource Center including an electronic National Geographic subscription and new books.
In 2020, our principal promised to shoot a music video in the Colfax Farm and even kiss our new pig, Peppa, if we could reach $20,000 as a school. Check out the awesome - and hilarious video!
KIDCHELLA
Learn Guitar! Play Keyboard! Learn to Sing! Play Drums! Perform Onstage! Form a Band with your Friends!
Kidchella is a Spring tradition at Colfax. Students in 3rd through 5th grade (sometimes 2nd) are eligible to participate in bands, but EVERYONE is invited to attend the rock show! Burbank Music Academy graciously provides 5 weeks of music instruction for our bands as they learn to play/sing the song of their choice and get ready for their big performance.
For new families, this must seem overwhelming. We KNOW! But, we promise, we have a whole lot of fun along the way. We fundraise year-round because it costs PACE over half a million dollars to fund all the important staff members and programs we pay for each year. Want to learn more??
